Since then, the Penn State Online Geospatial Education Programs have expanded to four graduate certificates (GIS, Geospatial Programming and Web Development, Remote Sensing and Earth Observation, and Geospatial Intelligence) as well as three masters degrees (the Master of GIS, Master of Science in Spatial Data Science, and the Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security). The programs consist of over 30 instructor-led online courses, offered in fast-paced 10-week terms. Five semesters per year enable students to make rapid progress in their studies. Our students are current and aspiring geospatial professionals who typically study with us part-time while working full-time - often in roles involving geospatial technologies, data, and methods.
